We are an organisation driven by purpose. We believe there is a strong connection between what we do as a responsible organisation, how our actions impact our planet, and the need to be socially responsible and ethical in our business conduct. Our purpose motivates us to honour our commitments through our active contribution. And we can only do this with the right people.

In Humanising Financial Services, we strive to do the right thing in everything we do.

Our Humanising Workplace principles foster inclusivity and dignity for our collective success by authentically prioritising these values in our people policies and practices.

Why we are choosing to humanise financial services starting from the inside out

Your authentic self is your best self, and with your best self, you do your best work. A meaningful and enriching employee experience strengthens our values, p roducts, and services. Our Commitment to DEIB

Our commitment to DEIB is focused on being authentic and dynamic in our execution, while maintaining a growth mindset on how we stay relevant as employee expectations and needs evolve. Through the cycles of human capital transformation we have undertaken, diversity and inclusion have underpinned our people policies and how we deliver them in practice has positively impacted our employee engagement levels as measured against global high-performing organisations, whilst also earning us global and national recognition in human resource.

In keeping to our commitment of authenticity, our more recent focus has been on driving employee belonging so every employee, regardless of their background and experiences, feels valued and included. Our approach has been to look at the gaps we have at a more granular level and to create the best platforms for our employees as we can. Today, our employee resource groups include networks and support groups for faith-based employee communities, women, retirees, youth and persons with disabilities. Through their voices, and those of many other employees, we are able to co-create and transpose the principles of DEIB in what we do, creating a mutually-reinforcing ecosystem of culture, systems and employee well-being.

Remuneration and Rewards

At Maybank, we believe in rewarding our employees in a way that's fair, transparent, and performance-based. Maybank Group’s Compensation policy is designed to support our employees' well-being, engagement, and success within the organisation.

Our Remuneration and Rewards policy is guided by the following principles:

Fairness

We aim to provide fair and equitable compensation to all employees, ensuring that pay decisions are based on factors such as skills, experience, performance, and market trends. This ensures that everyone is valued and rewarded fairly for their contributions.

Transparency

We are committed to being transparent about how we make compensation decisions. Employees will understand why they receive the pay they do, and how factors like performance and market trends influence it.

Pay for Performance

Our Total Rewards Framework is firmly anchored in the principles of pay for performance. This means that rewards are tied to individual and company performance, as well as the achievement of our strategic goals for sustainable growth.

Competitive Pay

We offer competitive compensation packages to attract and retain top talent. We regularly compare our pay practices with industry standards and market trends to ensure we remain competitive.

Inclusivity and Diversity

We value diversity and inclusion in our organisation. Our policy ensures that everyone, regardless of background or demographics, has equal opportunities for advancement and development.

Sustainability Integration

We are committed to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. Our policy incorporates ESG considerations to ensure that our rewards management is aligned with our sustainability goals.

At Maybank, every team member's contribution is valued. We strive to create a rewarding work environment where everyone feels respected and appreciated.
